Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Awarding our Community at Mount Tryon

Our Community matters to us here at Mount Tryon!

Today, General Manager Ria and Home Services Advisor Adele had the absolute privilege of visiting Orchard Forest School.

But!

This wasn’t just any old visit, this was a visit with a difference. We were honoured to be able to present them with a cheque for £1000.

This was awarded to them directly from Barchester's Charitable Foundation - a grant towards the continuation of this fantastic group which, amongst other things, aims to reduce isolation for the elderly.

At the helm, is Louise Loram, Forest School Lead, and together with her team of volunteers she has created an inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults’ regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment

It’s such an incredible environment and such a feel good experience, we are becoming regular volunteers at Forest School to support this incredible cause. We will be joining intergenerational activities and cannot wait to get started.

National Cheese and Wine Day at Mount Tryon

At Mount Tryon, we love celebrating a National Day!

National Cheese and Wine Day fell on the 25th July and is a date that celebrates the ultimate pairing of cheese and wine.

For a lot of people, there is nothing that goes together better than a great glass of wine and some premium quality cheese, especially when tasting and drinking in a premium setting!

A lot of wine-producing cultures pair regional wines with local cheeses, and that is exactly what we did.

Our residents had great fun trying different styles of wine with the different cheeses along with relishes, chutneys, grapes, plus a range of breads, biscuits and crackers.
