Activities at Kingswood Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Kingswood Court Support Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
Thank you so much to Reverend P J Jackson, Helen and Peter from Kingswood Methodist Church for today's Remembrance service. Peter read two thought provoking poems, one written during World War 1, the other a modern day poem.
After the service residents assisted by P J, Helen and Peter to put together the children's Christmas shoe boxes. Thank you so much for all the donations we have received, we were able to make a dozen boxes, selecting items for all age groups. Samaritan’s Purse distribute these show boxes to 170 countries across the world. We are so pleased that Kingswood Court have been able to be part of the shoe box appeal and make a difference to several children this Christmas.
Thank you so much to the amazing work that Kingswood Methodist Church do for this charity, they will be sending over 100 boxes out next week.
Halloween Party Fun!
Kingswood Court had such fun at our Halloween party. Everyone greatly enjoyed the delicious buffet and there were lots of giggles with the fun games that followed. It was such a wonderful atmosphere with residents, families and the team all joining in.
Thank you to the hospitality team for such a wonderful spread, DJ Lee and Sarah our amazing activities coordinator.
Tea Dance with Jenny & Terry
There were smiles all round from the Kingswood Court residents as we enjoyed another tea dance with Jenny and Terry. A very special moment when Carol danced with Terry.
Kingswood Court Centenarians
Sarah from Kingswood Court's activities team has a real passion and commitment to encouraging as many residents as she can to events and activities. This week we were delighted to see two of our centenarians; 101 year old Frank join us for our pianist and 106 year old Joyce greatly enjoyed Kiddleydivey.
Happy Anniversary!
Kingswood Court are always delighted to host celebrations and events for our residents. We recently had the privilege of being part of wedding anniversary celebrations and our newly refurbished lounge was the perfect venue.
Fun in the Sun!
We have been busy the last few weeks at Kingswood Court! Making the most of the glorious sunshine, our gardens transformed into a hub of laughter and memory-making moments.
Our beautiful gardens held a fantastic BBQ, where residents, staff, and families came together to indulge in the delicious food that our Head Chef Lee had prepared form them. But the fun didn’t stop there! Our cocktail party was an absolute hit, with residents trying out vibrant cocktails and mocktails that spread smiles and joy. The chatter, the clinking glasses, and the foot-tapping music added a magical charm to our afternoon.
And who could forget the Cheese and Wine night? The combination of rich cheeses, fine wine, and even finer company made it an evening to remember. Every slice of cheese and every sip of wine was accompanied by stories, shared memories, and hearty laughter.
