Activities at Kingsland House Care Home
Kingsland House have a variety of activities that our residents help us choose. Celebrating Life in our home is jovial and fun and from our weekly delivered activity sheet, our residents can chose exactly what they want to join in with.
Our activities range from exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, games to food-fun clubs. We also offer our in house church services, our own home cinema, our mobile pub - The Kingsland Tavern, visiting Pat Dogs, musical entertainers, minibus outings, theme days and birthday celebrations. For those residents being nursed in their rooms we have one to one activities sessions.
At Kingsland House we believe that activities are hugely important to stimulate and uplift, and getting to know our residents interests and lifestyle choices assist our activities team in creating events and activities to suit their expressed wishes and capabilities. We also encourage our residents' families and friends to join in with as much as they can to make Kingsland House a loving family atmosphere.

Life at Kingsland House Care Home
Shrove Tuesday - A Fun Flippin' Day
Residents and staff here at Kingsland House had a thoroughly good time flipping our pancakes and choosing which delicious fillings to fill them with. Everyone enjoyed getting involved, but enjoyed eating them even more! We even made the local press!
Puzzle Fun
Here at Kingsland House, we love to get stuck into a jigsaw puzzle. Residents find the activity both therapeutic and sociable as we help each other solve the puzzle. It's also a great activity for keeping the mind active and engaged.
Residents help with the daily chores
Our residents love to get involved with the daily chores and often put on the relevant uniform and help out with the housework and laundry.
Magic Table Laughs
We always have such fun on our Magic Table as residents can interact and compete with each other on football challenge and find the ladybird.
Celebrating Chocolate Cake Day
We do not need an excuse to eat chocolate cake but as today was ‘Chocolate Cake Day’ we decided to bake our own in Cookery Club before serving them on the Tea Trolley. The were truly delicious and enjoyed by all!
A Christmas Day Surprise Visit
Residents and staff at Kingsland House had such a wonderful surprise when Mr & Mrs Clause showed up on Christmas Morning. They brought with them presents for each resident. We had such a lovely time with them both and were all very surprised.
