Activities at Glebefields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Glebefields Care Home

June Birthday Girls
In the month of June, we had the joy of celebrating not just one, but two special birthdays at Glebefields Care Home. On June 8th, we gathered to honor Sheila's birthday, followed by a delightful celebration on June 12th for Ivy's special day.
Surrounded by their loved ones, fellow residents, and dedicated staff, Sheila and Ivy blew out the candles on their beautifully decorated birthday cakes. As a surprise, we presented Sheila and Ivy with special gifts to make their birthdays even more memorable.
Here's to Sheila, Ivy, and all our June birthdays! May the year ahead be filled with happiness, good health, and countless cherished memories.

Creativity Unleashed
Unleash Your Creativity with Ribberty Rabbit's Simple Coloring Session!
We had a fantastic time at Glebefields Care Home as Emma from Ribberty Rabbit led us through a delightful session of simple coloring. Residents Stanley, Barry, Ivy, Cynthia, Edith, Helen, gathered together to explore the world of colors and let their imagination run wild.
Under Emma's guidance, we discovered the joy of filling blank pages with vibrant hues. The atmosphere was filled with tranquility as we immersed ourselves in the soothing strokes of our paints. It was a moment of pure relaxation and self-expression.

Enabling Life-enriching Care
It was all system go as the team at Glebefields went LIVE with their Enable support plans yesterday. Enable is a bespoke system which aligns with our wish to deliver the highest quality individual care and life enrichment.
Glebefields are the second home taking part in our important digital transformation pilot for our new eCare system, referred to internally as 'Enable'.
This new digital care system is part of our wider Life Enrichment strategy, and will bring many benefits for our teams, and our residents, and it will further modernise and improve our digital systems.
We'd like to thank the Enable project team for all their guidance and support in the successful roll out of this life enriching eCare system.
As the proud Glebefields team gathered together to enjoy the celebratory lunch prepared by the homes hospitality team. We were joined by Managing Director Angela Bradford, alongside Barchester's Director of Nursing, Julia Atherton who led the launch party with a personal message from our Chief Executive, Pete Calveley before cutting into the amazing ‘Enable’ cake!
'Enable' - Exemplary care in the palm of our hands.

Father's Day at Glebefields
Father's Day Celebration at Glebefields Care Home - Honoring Fatherhood!
We were thrilled to come together at Glebefields Care Home to celebrate the special occasion of Father's Day. It was a heartfelt tribute to the wonderful fathers who bring love, guidance, and joy to our lives.
Our residents, along with their families, joined us in honoring fatherhood and expressing gratitude for the significant role fathers play in shaping our lives. Each father was celebrated with heartfelt gifts, symbolizing our deep appreciation for their unwavering presence and the cherished memories they create.
The afternoon was spent in delightful companionship, sharing stories and creating new memories over a relaxing and indulgent afternoon tea. It was a time of reminiscence and connection, where fathers and their loved ones shared laughter, warmth, and love.
At Glebefields Care Home, we understand the importance of family and the special bond between fathers and their children.
