Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Oomph! Singing with 'Wim'

We had lots of fun with musical instruments as our residents joined 'Wim' from Oomph Wellness.  Ivy, Edith and Helen enjoyed shacking their maraca’s and tambourines alongside Marlene and her visiting daughter who both led the performance with a good old sing-a-long!

Young Easter Prize Winners

Our Easter activities at Glebefields were a huge success, and we would like to thank everyone who participated!

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Easter Bunny Hunt and Easter Bunny Colouring Competition.

Harris found all the bunnies hidden around the village, and Matilda, a budding artist coloured a beautiful bunny picture. Congratulations to both of our outstanding winners!

Starting from the competition, your contributions brought so much joy and laughter to the residents of Glebefields care home. These activities helped to foster a sense of community and togetherness while also promoting mental health and well-being.

We hope Harris and Matilda enjoy their prizes, and once again, congratulations to our winners.

Thank you all for your participation and contributions!

Andy Mersdom Performs at Open Day

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended the Open Day event at Glebefields Care home. It was fantastic to meet so many new people and to have the opportunity to showcase our home. Following the tours for our guests, we enjoyed a lovely musical performance by Andy Mersdom, who played his guitar in our dining room. We also served homemade cakes and tea, creating a relaxing atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Glebefields has a unique and tasteful decoration that mirrors the distinctiveness of our residents, and we take great pride in our home. Our primary goal is to provide high-quality residential, nursing, and respite care in a welcoming and friendly environment that enhances the quality of our residents' lives.

Chinese Language Day at Glebefields Care Home was a culturally enriching and joyous event that brought together our residents, including Marlene, Minnie, Pam, Edith, Helen, and our dedicated staff. The day was filled with excitement as our residents learned Chinese phrases and took pride in speaking the language. We enjoyed tea-time delights with fragrant teas and prawn crackers, fostering genuine connections and laughter as our residents shared stories and bonded over language and culture.
