Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Pancake Day Fun!

We had a celebrating Pancake Day with our team! Everyone, including both residents and staff, gathered together for some pancake flipping fun, and it was a joy to see everyone's smiles.

Our General Manager, Nisha, even challenged us to see who could flip the highest! Congratulations to Dinesh, our admin assistant, for achieving the highest flip! As we flipped our pancakes, we took a moment to reflect on the history of this tradition. Topped with our favourite toppings, everyone enjoyed their pancakes to the fullest!

Virtual Floral Workshop!

Glebefields had a great time with Kathryn Delve, a flower expert, over Zoom. She showed us how to make beautiful flower arrangements for Valentine's Day. We followed her lead and added roses and carnations to our creations. The online session helps us learn new things and also helps us remember what we learned before.

Kathryn said, "These workshops always bring me such joy. It's fulfilling to see people create something beautiful and find happiness in the process."

Our dear resident Ivy said, "Joining these sessions brings back nice memories and helps me get better at what I do. It's a special time for learning and practising."

We're proud of our displays and have placed them around the home for everyone to enjoy before Valentine's Day.
