Activities at Elgar Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Kerrie Perks
Hello, My name is Kerrie and I provide the unique life enrichment for residents at Elgar Court. I moved to Malvern 12 years ago to live with my fiance and we have two tortoises and a snake. I love to play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. I am very 'outdoorsy' and used to ride horses and compete nationally in athletics, specialising in track and field for Redditch and Bromsgrove athletics club. In my spare time, I love being in the kitchen and making treats for my family.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Old Court Nurseries & Picton Garden
Our Residents visited the wonderful Picton Garden and nursery last week in Colwall. Set across 1½ acres west of Malvern Hills, we were delighted to see a multitude of magnificent seasonal and established plants, flowers and trees were flowering and growing. Thank you to the very kind owners who waived the entrance fee for our residents to look around.

Thank you to James and the Team at Waitrose for making us so welcome.

Cafe Life
What a lovely day to go out and about in our Minibus Mable and enjoy refreshments at our local cafe, Waitrose. After lunch, we are off again to a nursery garden!
Life doesn't stop when you move to Elgar Court, and we ensure our residents enjoy daily life enrichment both in and out of our home.

Walking by Bluebells
Off in our minibus Mabel, we took to the Malvern Hills to find the Bluebell woods. Sheila our resident couldn’t believe that we had booked such a fabulous day as the weather was shining and warm.
We were awash with a sea of bluebells and counted us as so lucky to see them in this mini window of nature’s opportunity!

Slippery Suds – Artisan Soap making
Another successful activity this week was soap making! And even our Residents families booked themselves into this slippery activity workshop Sensory fragrances used in these spa delights were ylang ylang and aquamarine to uplift our senses.
Why not come and try our activities with residents, have fun and make friends!
