"For a research job in the past, I have visited all aged care facilities in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire over a two year period so I have a comprehensive view of what can be offered in care homes. I visited my sister-in-law who has dementia in November 2025. I want to say how impressed I was with every aspect of the home: Flowers growing in a box at waist height to welcome you. A coffee area and lounge as you walked in. A warm welcome from the staff. The lift centrally placed in the foyer with simple codes to stop those clients who have dementia from getting lost. The welcome from staff and clients in the dementia ward upstairs. The wide welcoming corridors and clients' doors to their bedrooms. The place smelt clean (i.e. no old peoples home smell!). The staff were happy and friendly. What a lovely atmosphere. Congratulations to all who work there to make this the home from home that it is."

Thank you to the lovely Elgar Court Team for allowing us to use a room for our Social Prescribing Team meeting. We were as always very well taken care of. :-)

We were honestly bowled away by the beautiful care home the leaders and staff have created at Elgar Court and genuinely would move in ourselves for respite right at this moment I think!!!
Unfortunately, following our visit, our father deteriorated and we have had to choose an alternative care home that will be able to provide the specialist nursing provision he needs. However, we were incredibly impressed by the facilities, staff and food at Elgar Court from all we could see during our visit. As a family we were at a low ebb during this process and we would particularly like to also praise Naomi, the Home Services Advisor, for her compassion, support, advice and patience throughout our whole process of consideration of Elgar Court. It is a difficult and emotional time for the whole family and having the opportunity to deal with someone who can make it all that little bit more comfortable is very important.

I was truly impressed with Elgar Court Care Home. It was easy to find and easy to park. From the minute I stepped into the reception I was really impressed. We received a very warm welcome each time we visited. The staff were so kind and helpful and took time to show us round everywhere and answer all our questions. The facilities and the décor were first class and it was clear that everything was designed to fit round the needs of the residents and their preferences. They have a team of caring and dedicated permanent staff which I found very reassuring. There was a range of activities throughout the week to keep residents engaged and entertained including trips out into the community. The staff took time to chat to my mum over coffee and cake and really get to know her which was lovely. The surrounding area and views were very pleasing to with the Malvern Hills on one side and the countryside stretching out to Bredon Hill on the other. I would definitely recommend Elgar Court with confidence.

"Elgar Court is now my Dad's and Mum's permanent residence. I have no need to worry day to day about any more so have more capacity on being a daughter again. The staff are so caring and compassionate. They also seem to have infinite amount of patience. The staff have made this difficult transitioning period so smooth as this is a big step in all our families lives. I do feel both parents are listened to which as they have got older had not always been the case. Thank you all so much"

"My Dad has ben a resident at Elgar Court since November 2024, where he has received excellent care and kindness . Recently he needed to be hospitalised and all senior , junior carers and management were incredibly supportive . As a family we truly appreciated the professionalism and personal help to us during a worrying time . He has recovered so well and enjoyed celebrating his 90th birthday in July using the Private Dining Room at Elgar Court . Everyone involved contributed into making it an extremely special day providing us all with very happy memories. Thanks to all ."

"Elgar Court are doing a fabulous job of looking after my father in law, and he is very settled there. The activities are varied and they go out of their way to encourage the residents to participate. It is a great comfort to us as a family to know that he is so well cared for, and the staff are wonderful. In particular, he had a birthday party this past week and the chef did a fabulous job of catering for all of us. Thank you so much."

"I came here May 1st - May 30th for respite care following four operations for hip revision. During this time the care and support of the management team and carers has been wonderful. My confidence in walking has improved and my general well being also strengthened. I cannot praise Elgar Court Care Home enough. Would recommend it to anyone and my best adjective would be EXCELLENT!"

We attended an Easter bunny hunt today, our two daughters had a great time, the staff were lovely and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

"Beautiful hotel like environment. Always clean and tidy. All staff friendly and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Food (parents describe) is good quality and nutritious. My parents both look well and are recognising quality. Would rate 11/10!"
