Activities at Elgar Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Kerrie Perks
Hello, My name is Kerrie and I provide the unique life enrichment for residents at Elgar Court. I moved to Malvern 12 years ago to live with my fiance and we have two tortoises and a snake. I love to play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. I am very 'outdoorsy' and used to ride horses and compete nationally in athletics, specialising in track and field for Redditch and Bromsgrove athletics club. In my spare time, I love being in the kitchen and making treats for my family.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Photography Winners!
This summer we launched a photography competition asking people to capture the beauty of Malvern. The winners won a fabulous cream tea made by our in house Chef and enjoyed on our balcony. Picture here are the creative winners Darcy and Jemima - well done both of you!

The Gentlemen’s Club
Our generation of residents really enjoy each other’s company, and this Saturday night is Gentlemen’s Club with Roger and Peter enjoying a beer and a chat about life. Life doesn’t stop when you move into Elgar Court, it gets better!

Caribbean Tours!
Our lifestyle each month is a cruise around the world 'visiting' countries to experience the wonders they offer. Our cruise around the world continues as this month is a visit to Jamaica! Not only do we sample the local cuisine, we find out about the rich history and culture shaping this tropical country. Pictured here, are residents enjoying rum and finding out more about Jamaica. Next month Japan!

The Hanley Show – The Big Bakeoff!
Our Residents have been busy this Friday preparing to enter the Victoria Sponge Bake Off category at the annual The Hanleys Village Show. This is the show’s 71st year, and the Hanleys Show celebrates community spirit and highlights horticulture achievements, home made food, fruit and flower displays.
Our three residents had so much fun with their entry, with Peter, Alice and Joan whipping up a glorious Victoria sponge! Pictured here with the wonderful Cake entries is Mrs Carless, one of the hardworking Hanleys Show committee organiser’s. Fingers crossed for our entry on Saturday 24 August and good luck to everyone who has entered – the displays looked absolutely amazing!
A special shout out to the Blind Dogs UK fundraising team, Mrs Willets and Mrs Fowler who are raising money for this very worthy cause!

Peter goes Digital
At our home we like to introduce residents to the wonders of modern technology. Here, Peter is creating magical mandalas using the painting app on our digital rainbow tablet and Roger is learning to use a laptop – “ You are never to old, but I’ll give it a go” Roger said!

The Best Views in Town!
One of the many delightful aspects of living at Elgar Court, are the daily services and amenities our residents enjoy. Our fine dining suite boasts a superb balcony to enjoy the views to the wonderful Malvern Hills, and our residents can use this any time they wish with family and friends or, just to take in the magnificent framed views to the Hills.
