Activities at Edingley Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Phoebe Hind
Hi, I'm Phoebe, I am the Activities Coordinator at Edingley Lodge. My role is all about creating engaging and stimulating activities for our residents, ensuring they have fun, stay active, and feel connected. I'm a people person at heart, and I love getting to know everyone.
Whether organising arts and crafts sessions, days out, or individual time, I aim to provide fulfilling experiences that brighten our residents day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Our residents had a lovely afternoon, visiting Rufford Abbey Country Park, everyone fully enjoyed the afternoon, walking down the lakeside, stopping at the shop & garden centre for a browse, we finished off the day with a lovely hot drink & slice of delicious cake!

Happy St David's Day
St David is the patron saint of Wales and he is celebrated on the 1st March. To mark the day, Welsh people around the world wear one or both of Wales's national emblems – a daffodil and a leek. Patron saints are chosen to be special protectors or guardians over all areas of life!
Our residents & staff celebrated the day by baking Welsh cakes & enjoyed scrumptious leek & bacon risotto made by our fantastic chef,
Residents also decorated their own vases and filled them with beautiful Daffodils, They all thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Talents at Edingley Lodge
It's so lovely to be able to support residents so that they can continue with their hobbies or even have a go at something new when they move into the home.
Some of our residents learnt to paint when they got retired and were keen to pick up the brush again and jumped at the chance when we offered some watercolour paints for them to have a go.
Our resident June was really keen to display her previous paintings.
Staff and Residents at Edingley Lodge were really excited with her talent.

Baking Day At Edingley
Today we made some delicious treats for our afternoon tea. Residents baked and decorated some fruit cakes and it's safe to say they were thoroughly enjoyed!
The residents enjoyed chatting about the home baked food they cooked for their families.
We find this kind of activity always great for social interaction and who doesn't love cake?!

Happy Chinese New Year
We welcomed in the Year of the Dragon with a day of celebrations and activities with families and friends.
The Chinese New Year is China’s most important festival that celebrated the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar calendar.
Inspired by Chinese culture and traditions, our residents enjoyed a creative session with Chinese New Year DIY dragons and made beautiful lanterns to mark the day. For lunch our wonderful Chef treated us to a very tasty Chinese style buffet and made a lovely home made curry sauce to accompany the delicious food.
