Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Sharon Rickman
Hi, my name is Sharon, and I'm part of the activities team here at Corrina Lodge and have worked here for over 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Activities whilst working here. During my time here, I have met some truly amazing people and I feel privileged to work in a home with such a sense of community.

15 Years of Service
Many staff members stay at Corrina stay for a long time; Jo Stacey recently received a very special award for 15 years of service. Well done, Jo!
Birthday Celebrations
At Corrina Lodge, we pride ourselves on hosting extra special birthday celebrations - and it seems like Mrs Jones had a great time!
Brit Quiz
We love any excuse to have a party at Corrina Lodge; residents, their friends and loved ones enjoyed a fun evening with a classic fish & chip supper at our Brit Night Quiz Event.
Easter Celebrations
Residents and Carers enjoyed a visit from the Easter bunny!
Garden Club
Residents have planned what they would like to grow in the garden and have already started to sow a variety of seeds.
Cafe Corrina at Easter
This year, we decided to decorate the cafe area for Easter.
On the walls, we put up all the Easter eggs that residents had decorated and hung up all the little pom-pom chicks, lambs and bunnies they had made. We also adorned our walls with some garlands made by residents and put out all the handmade Easter cards, which were for sale. Then we festooned the area with chocolate eggs and bunnies - and it looked wonderful.
