Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Corrina Lodge Care Home

Peter and Freda

The Corrina Lodge Community really enjoyed wishing Peter and Freda a very happy 64th Wedding Anniversary. It was wonderful to hear all about their special wedding day in Leeds all those years ago. They are a truly wonderful couple.

25 Year Anniversary!

Corrina Lodge had a very special celebration for devoted Activity coordinator Sharon who has worked at Corrina Lodge for an amazing 25 years. Dumitru the home manager donned his chef’s hat and cooked up a delicious BBQ for all to enjoy. It was a wonderful celebration with lots of fun and community spirit.

Fulfilling Wishes

Earlier this week we took some of our lovely gentleman residents out for a trip to the arcades.

We all had so much fun and it was so lovely to see them enjoying themselves.

We are very much enjoying being able to fulfil residents wishes again.

Great Company

Earlier today, we took this picture of Len, one of our fabulous respite residents, to send to his wife.

Len wanted his wife to know what excellent company he keeps here at Corrina Lodge.

She's naughty and nice

This is our amazing Head Chef Kathleen Foster.

Kathleen has worked in the care sector all of her working life. She has a great understanding of what our residents' needs for their diets and always does her utmost to accommodate them.

She love's to make home cooked dishes from scratch and always promote a nutritional diet. Kathleen enjoy's cooking traditional dishes that residents can relate to and look as good as they taste.

On the naughty but nice side, Kathleen pride's myself on baking some delicious cakes and biscuits for residents to enjoy.

Nothing is too much trouble and she will always do her best to create a wonderful dining experience for the Corrina Community

Celebrating our Team

Last week was 'International Carers Week'.

Corrina Lodge's General Manager, Dumitru used the opportunity to spoil our much loved carers and supporting teams. It was time to celebrate our staff.

Dumitru himself lit our BBQ and served the team with a lunch time BBQ to say thank you for all their hard work and dedication.

The BBQ was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team.
