Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Baby Fever

Residents and staff gave Daniela and Anda—mums to be—a wonderful pink themed surprise baby shower. Residents enjoyed an afternoon of gift giving, tea and cake. We all wish them all the best and very much look forward to meeting their baby girls!

National Dog Day

To celebrate the day, residents enjoyed visits from their favourite dogs during the day. While Muffin chose Joan’s lap, Tino preferred playing with a ball and a lovely afternoon tea in the garden with Marcela and Jane.

Representing Our Residents

Congratulations to our new resident ambassador, Helen, who received her official badge from General Manager, Earl.

Helen’s role as a Resident Ambassador means she will now support and be an active voice on the views of other residents and relatives within the home.

Pamper Afternoon

We regularly host pamper days for our residents at Cheverton Lodge. It is always a popular afternoon activity.

This time the ladies enjoyed foot spas, facials and hair styling whilst listening to some classical music and one of their favourite opera singers, Benjamin Gigli!

Flower Power

It was lovely to receive these flowers from students with loving messages encouraging residents to stay cheerful and happy!

Thank you City of London Academy!

Ice Cream Bonanza

Residents got the best of a sunny afternoon in the garden, singing along to well-known old favourites and enjoying an ice cream bonanza full of flavour and colour.
