Activities at Caldy Manor Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work together to provide daily activities suited to the tastes of residents. We encourage those we support to continue with any hobbies whilst they stay at home. We also hold group activities, such as exercise to music, sing-alongs, craft sessions and visits to local places of interest. There are also evening events, including cheese & wine evenings and race nights. We keep families up-to-date through our newsletter and notices that can be found across the home. Family and friends are always welcome to join in!

Hi my name is Steph and I am Lead Activities here at Caldy Manor. As an Activities Coordinator I focus on encouraging our residents to take part in outdoor trips on the mini bus, delivering varied exercise classes and assisting residents with their chosen activities as part of our homes life enrichment plan. It is important that we continue to ensure our residents are connected to their local community.

Christmas lights
We went out in our mini bus and stopped off at Port Sunlight for a cup of tea and biscuits before we set of to go and find our favourite house with the best Christmas lights,
What's in Santa's bag?
Whats in Santa's bag? Fabulous afternoon playing a game of guessing what was in the bag. We had so much fun trying to guess and some of the answers were so funny.
Gifts to the children
We are delivering these Christmas ducklings to the children at Avalon School in Caldy. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Merry Christmas. #avalonschool
Lunch on the go!
Even though it was cold outside we still enjoyed a lovely trip out on our minibus to NewBrighton and had our lunch in the bus ...
Magic of the Nutcracker
We experienced the magic of the Nutcracker with a special interactive workshop led by English National Ballet Associate Artists.
Our residents were able to take a magical journey thorough Edwardian London and to learn more about the enchanted Nutcracker characters: Clara, the Mouse King, and her valiant Nutcracker doll. The session included a chair-based dance workshop, clips of the ballet on stage and a Christmas carol sing-along, truly enjoyed by all.
Christmas truffles
We had a lovely time joining Paul Hawkins and Steve Wilkes from Unilever for an exciting immersive Christmas experience.
Our residents were welcomed with chocolate treats as Paul and Steve took them on an exciting chocolate truffle making and biscuit decorating journey.
To finish off the Christmas special event, our residents enjoyed a themed quiz and a singalong.
We all had a wonderful time.

Coffee Morning - Every Friday from 11.00 am
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us as we host our monthly coffee morning, make new friends and take a tour of our home. All welcome.
Don't Dine Alone
We know mealtimes can often be a lonely time for our older members of our local community, come and enjoy a nutritious meal and make new friends. Places are limited.
