Activities at Caldy Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. We encourage those we support to continue with any hobbies whilst they stay at home. We also hold group activities, such as exercise to music, sing-alongs, craft sessions and visits to local places of interest. There are also evening events, including cheese & wine evenings and race nights. We keep families up-to-date through our newsletter and notices that can be found across the home. Family and friends are always welcome to join in!

Life at Caldy Manor Care Home

Baby Group visit
A local baby group was invited to hold there afternoon of fun at Caldy Manor Care Home. Mums and babies aged from birth to 12 months came and spent the afternoon with residents talking all things babies. They sang songs, sensory play and everyone enjoyed the bubbles. All the mums, babies and residents had a wonderful time and are planning their next visit.

Coronation history
Across our services Residents had a wonderful time participating in an interactive virtual talk with Pippa Catterall, Professor of History and Policy at the University of Westminster, where we delved into the rich history of coronations.
During the talk, we explored fascinating topics such as the coronation chair, the crown, and other significant aspects related to King Charles' upcoming coronation. Our residents were thrilled to have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the memoirs of past coronations from 1937 and 1953, as well as learning about the coronation oath and what to expect from the ceremony, including the music, guests, and pageantry.

Keeping the mind active
Our weekly crosswords are really popular at the moment. Doing word puzzles can help relieve stress and anxiety and is a great way to work together in solving the puzzles.

A breath of fresh air
It's good to get out and get some fresh air. This week we have been out enjoying our beautiful grounds and going for little strolls.

Night Owls
Such an enjoyable afternoon! Thank you to Smart Animal Welfare Ltd for bringing the most beautiful Owls for us, giving a really informative talk and for all the handling time! We loved it!

Easter at Caldy Manor
For our Easter event we invited all staff and families to celebrate Easter. We brought in a mobile zoo which was a massive hit with everyone. We were able to hold all the animals and learn something new about each one. We had a day of music, animals, egg hunts, raffle and cake!
