Activities at Caldy Manor Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work together to provide daily activities suited to the tastes of residents. We encourage those we support to continue with any hobbies whilst they stay at home. We also hold group activities, such as exercise to music, sing-alongs, craft sessions and visits to local places of interest. There are also evening events, including cheese & wine evenings and race nights. We keep families up-to-date through our newsletter and notices that can be found across the home. Family and friends are always welcome to join in!

Hi my name is Steph and I am Lead Activities here at Caldy Manor. As an Activities Coordinator I focus on encouraging our residents to take part in outdoor trips on the mini bus, delivering varied exercise classes and assisting residents with their chosen activities as part of our homes life enrichment plan. It is important that we continue to ensure our residents are connected to their local community.

Life at Caldy Manor Care Home
Christmas cake competition
Our Christmas cake is now complete, ready to enter into Barchester Christmas cake competition. We all had a lovely afternoon using our creative side and finishing off our cake. We will serve it at our Christmas party on Friday 23rd. #christmascakecompetition
Festive wrapping
We're getting ready for Christmas with wrapping some presents up for other residents. An afternoon of reminiscing, laughter, tea and cake.
Donkey Sanctuary Manchester
Across our services, Residents enjoyed a fantastic virtual tour of the Donkey Sanctuary Manchester. Residents were thrilled to meet the lovely herd of donkeys, including Henry and his best friend Tiny Tim and to learn more about their every day care. They were introduced to the sanctuary’s work and the impact they make to the lives of donkeys in need worldwide. The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Christmas baking
Baking is a big hit here at Caldy. Our residents enjoy their popular group baking sessions, this week we made biscuits and enjoyed them with a cup of tea. We shared memories of our childhood baking sessions.
Enjoying the ballroom at Blackpool
Visiting the Blackpool Ballroom this evening. Residents have really enjoyed the performances and seeing the beautiful Ballroom, one of Blackpool's famous venues.
World TV Day
World TV Day! - We had such a fun day celebrating world TV day. Not only did England play there first match in the World Cup, the staff dressed up as TV characters and the residents loved seeing us all in our costumes.

Coffee Morning - Every Friday from 11.00 am
We extend a warm invitation for you to join us as we host our monthly coffee morning, make new friends and take a tour of our home. All welcome.
Don't Dine Alone
We know mealtimes can often be a lonely time for our older members of our local community, come and enjoy a nutritious meal and make new friends. Places are limited.
