Activities at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Valentine's Day
The residents enjoyed a heart-warming day of baking, singing and dancing and especially enjoyed receiving beautiful cards from the children at the local primary school.
Tea Party for Chilkdren's Mental Health Week
We had a wonderful tea party with the children from Oasis Primary School in honour of Children’s Mental Health Week, which this year were focusing on encouraging meaningful connections with everyone in the community. The children read books and chatted with the residents about their lives and achievements. It was a lovely day full of laughter and lots and lots of cake.
Sweet Shop
Our residents enjoyed the retro sweet shop. There was lots of favourites to choose from and enjoy. They all got some pennies to spend just like the good old days when sweets were only a penny!
Performance From Steve the magician
Steve came to perform for the residents doing a musical quiz. They enjoyed reminiscing over classic songs from films, and being blown away by some magic tricks. Everyone enjoyed a sing a song and getting up to dance with the carers.
Decorating Biscuits
The residents got very sticky fingers decorating biscuits. Choosing between chocolate chips and sprinkles is always a tough decision, but each resident decorated their biscuit just how they wanted it. They really enjoyed this activity, and enjoyed eating them even more!
Carol Service
The chaplains and a few of their church members came in to host a beautiful carol service for our residents. It was a sold out show and the lounge was full of Christmas spirit. Everyone enjoyed taking some time to reflect on the story of Christmas and sing some traditional, well-loved carols.
