Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Elvis Visit!
Elvis Presley himself (well, maybe!) just rocked Bamfield Lodge!
We had an unforgettable afternoon with Andy T today, and the whole place was jumpin' with his incredible renditions of classic Elvis hits. Elvis even made a lot of appearances!!!
The energy was electric, and everyone had a blast.
Big thanks to Andy for bringing the house down.
Wellness Session
We were delighted to welcome Kayleigh, a professional massage therapist, to Bamfield Lodge for a special wellness session.
Her gentle touch and expert techniques brought relaxation and comfort to our residents, helping to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote a sense of calm.
Pudding Club
The residents enjoyed putting melted chocolate on their profiteroles and tasting the lovely cheesecake made by our kitchen staff for our monthly pudding club!
Friday Coffee Mornings
Today the wonderful students of Bristol City Skills College joined us and made sure that the residents all enjoyed a cuppa.
They proceeded to set about turning our home into a festive wonderland, and what a great job they did, putting down their artistic hands to make yet more tea for anyone that arrived in the lounge.
Residents love them coming in each week and we all look forward to their visits. So a massive thankyou to them for turning Bamfield Lodge festive!
An afternoon of music!
This week we had another great visit from Oasis Connaught Road Children who joined us and the residents for a great afternoon of music from Sian and Rob.
It was their first visit to Bamfield Lodge, and we all had such a great afternoon, music and children, a great combination!
We look forward to welcoming them all back.
Celebrating Age Concert
Staff and residents from Barchester’s Bamfield Lodge care home, in Bristol had a fantastic time visiting Bristol Beacon Concert Hall where they all enjoyed taking part in The Celebrating Age concert sponsored by Bristol Beacon, Bristol Drugs project, 50+ crowd and Age UK Bristol.
Residents and staff had a brilliant time at the concert where they were entertained by a fantastic line up of local acts. First the Grassy Knoll Ukelele Ensemble played some familiar sing along classics, then it was the turn of Artuba, a Bristol band with roots in the Caribbean and East End London music. Then to finish the residents listened to the delightful sounds of local legends The Sisters of Swing, an amazingly talented all-female act who played some crowd-pleasing big band tunes.
