Meet our Activities Coordinator, Georgia White
I am really excited to be on board at Tandridge Heights. I am already having lots of fun with our lovely residents and planning lots more. I am a recent graduate in Musical Theatre so as you can imagine I have a tonne of energy to bring to our home.
Activities at Tandridge Heights
Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.
Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!
Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Tandridge Heights opened Its doors to the local community for a Christmas Fête, drawing in people from Oxted & nearby. Everyone enjoyed homemade hot sausage rolls & gingerbread men.
Thelma's Friends Turns One
Thelma’s Friends, our toddler group, turned 1 year old on Monday 12th November. We had a full house and everyone had a great time. Residents just love the interaction with the little ones. Our Head Chef made a cake and everyone enjoyed a slice.
Resident, Rose, and Activities Assistant, Neil Cuzen, visited The Royal Bristish Legion in Oxted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
October Open Day
Tandridge Heights celebrated its open day with a 1960s-themed vintage party. We had a great band called 'Alpaco' playing all our '60s favourites. We had delicious cakes, sandwiches, fruit platters and many more. Thank you to everyone who joined us on that fun day.
Tandridge Heights residents took an afternoon trip to Wild Life Centre in Lingfield. Everyone had a great day!
Thank you very much to everyone who attended our annual summer BBQ. It was lots of fun, as always!
Continuing Life Enrichment
During this unprecedented time, we have a number of measures in place to ensure residents remain engaged, connected and socially active.
We know the importance of supporting our local community and hold monthly groups, specifically for those living with dementia or caring for a loved one.
Our PAT dog will be joining us every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. – everyone is welcome!
Don't Dine Alone
Enjoy some company and a nutritious lunch!
