Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

We had a lovely visit from Sophie and Emily who came to sing for the residents. They sang songs from the good old days and we all enjoyed singing along with them!

Monthly Bingo Sessions

Monthly Bingo Sessions

The residents at Stamford Bridge always try to have a monthly bingo session. They are lucky to have two ladies who give their time up to come and help them all for the afternoon. Hazel who calls the numbers and Jean comes to help with the bingo cards. Thank you to you both for your help and support. The bingo sessions are so much fun and thorouhgly enjoyed by the residents. We have a lot of good banter whilst playing and the residents get a chance to win chocolate which is always good and makes them all very competitive!

Ian Malcolm Returns

Ian Malcolm Returns

This week Ian came into our home and sang some great songs for the residents! He does Elvis, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and lots of other brilliant artists! The residents love him coming in and really look forward to his visit and get up to sing–a-long with him!

Homemade Treats for our Home

Homemade Treats for our Home

This week we decided we would do some baking, so we thought fruit scones would be nice to make! On Monday afternoon we set about making scones and what fun we all had! The residents took turns in doing different jobs mixing and cutting the scones ready to go in the oven. After they were ready we chatted about what things our mums used to bake and we enjoyed tasting the scones with a nice cup of tea. Then we shared them about around the home so everyone got a taste!
Pet at Home

Pet at Home

This week we enjoyed a lovely visit from pets at home! Jennie came into our home and brought in two of the most cutest pets. One was a white rabbit called Connie and the other was a guinea pig that we named Charlie. The residents love pets at home as they got a chance to handle these lovely pets and make a fuss of them. The little white rabbit enjoyed running around and found a nice resting place under one of our tables!

Chairobics Come to Stamford Bridge

This week we had a another nice visit from Mark who comes into our home and does chair exercises with the residents. We are all quite used to Mark now as he has been coming to us for quite a while. Mark gets the residents involved doing various different exercises to music and we all have a fun time!
