Activities at Silverbirch House Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Bo Tse
With previous experience working in a care home as an activities coordinator, I have developed a strong passion for enhancing the daily lives of residents through engaging and meaningful activities.
I am thrilled to join Barchester because of its outstanding reputation for providing exceptional care and a warm, community-focused environment. In my role, I will be dedicated to creating enriching programs that promote social interaction and well-being, helping both residents and their families feel supported and connected.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

A Merry Christmas from Silverbirch House!
Hot on the heels of our fabulous 1st Birthday Party, we welcomed the local community, friends, and family to our annual Christmas Fayre! Our talented stallholders showcased their incredible handmade wares, from create-your-own wreaths and festive ornaments to tree decorations, knitted gift bags, and beautifully painted canvases. The Silverbirch kitchen kept everyone warm and merry with festive treats and mulled wine. The day was capped off with our raffle draw and a magical performance by our beloved Becky, who got everyone singing and dancing to festive favourites!

Celebrating Frank’s Birthday
Today, we celebrated Frank’s 94th birthday here at Silverbirch House with a specially made cake from our Head Chef, Sange. Frank enjoyed the day surrounded by his fellow residents and his daughter. Happy 1st Birthday, Silverbirch House!
We celebrated a special milestone while being surrounded by our amazing community! We were thrilled to welcome friends and neighbours from the local area, former residents, current residents and their families, and some special guests. A huge thank you to The Deputy Mayor, Howard Smith, who had the honour of cutting our beautiful birthday cake, and to Dr Hillard and Mrs Tizard, whose names inspire two of our communities. Guests were treated to canapés prepared by our talented Head Chef, Sange, while the smooth saxophone melodies and vintage harmonies of the DDay Dollies brought the celebration to life. Here’s to all the incredible people who make Silverbirch House so special. Here’s to many more amazing years ahead!
