Activities at Pinetree Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Pinetree Care Home

Buon Apetito! Anyone for Pizza?
When it’s international Pizza day, what do we do? Yes, we make pizza!
Our residents chose their individual favourite toppings and created their own masterpieces from scratch. Happily chatting about all things italy our residents were thrilled to be hands on, and part of international pizza day.
Eaing their delicious creations for tea was simply benissimo!

We're Achieved the Perfect 10
We are so proud to have reached the very special score of 10 on carehome.co.uk!
Carehome.co.uk is often the first place loved ones will look for support in their search for care, so reviews like we have received at Pinetree mean the world to us but are also so important to those still searching and navigating that incredibly hard process.
Thank you so much. We will continue to be as amazing as our reviews.

Building Intergenerational Bridges and Lego Houses
When it’s international Lego Day what better way to celebrate than to invite in Legoclub Rayleigh. Jenny and two of her incredible Lego creators brought in this week’s makes, and the theme was space!
Nathanial gave a wonderful description of each of the models to our residents who were then invited to judge the models.
Everyone found this to be very tough and ALL of the models were worthy of any prize.
Pinetree will be creating their own LEGO masterpieces and we will be asking the children at their club to choose their favourites.
Stay tuned!

Burns Night
At the weekend we celebrated the life and works of Robert Burns.
Our residents experienced a traditional ceremony commenced by Cllr Sarah Jane Page who welcomed all staff, residents and their family to our very first Burns Day celebrations.
We were very lucky to have Brian Terry to join us to give the time honoured ceremony the touch of class and Scott it truly deserved; we had the addressing of the Haggis, The Selkirk Grace, poems and readings and to end, a Whisky tasting!

Pet Therapy
Pet therapy is hugely popular here at Pinetree. The calming nature of animals and the affection they offer the resident is good for the soul.
When our residents heard we had the animals visiting they all wanted a little cuddle with the bunnies and a chat with a doggy. We even had a friendly cockatiel and a hedgehog!
We are very grateful to Linda from Party Pets and her incredible furry and spiky friends. See you again soon.

Happy Birthday to Elvis
Today would have been Elvis’ birthday and to celebrate our staff and residents partied away and enjoyed an American themed dinner.
We danced together, laughed together and turned American together.
An exceptional afternoon. We will sleep well tonight.
