Meet the Pinetree Care Home Team

Our wonderful team will comprise of carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Laura Glyde

General Manager

HI My name is Laura and I am the General Manager at Pinetree Care Home.

I have worked in the care sector for 26 years. I began my career as a carer and continued to progress to care administrator, senior carer, deputy care home manager and then General Manager.

I am very excited to be the commissioning General Manager for Pinetree.  I am excited to lead the team in delivering an exceptional service to all of our residents, ensuring they receive all the support they require on an individual basis and keep everybody active, fulfilled, safe and happy. Our whole home ethos is that we want a home that treats our residents how we would wish our own loved ones treated.

The residents needs and their loved ones peace of mind will be at the heart of our home and I cant wait to welcome you all.

Donna Newhouse

Deputy Manager

HI My name is Donna and I am the Deputy Manager for Pinetree Care Home

I began my career as a carer in 2013 working my way up to Senior Carer, Deputy Manager and then acting General Manager.

I am very passionate about our residents receiving a consistent, dependable service with the very best care, ensuring that they always come first and live a happy life best fitted to them as individuals.

I truly believe in using a person-centered service using a whole home approach with honestly, open communication and understanding.

To know and value our residents as individuals, what makes them who they are and tailor their care needs to them is what drives me to continually deliver a first class experience.

Ellie Cairns

Home Services Advisor

Hi my name is Ellie.

I began my Barchester journey in 2023 and I am so excited to have been appointed as the Home Services Advisor for Pine Tree Care Home.

I have worked in the care sector since 2020 and have truly found my vocation in life. All previous roles I have held have included delivering first class customer service.

Whether you are exploring the option of living in a care home temporarily or on a more permanent basis I will be very happy to help you or your loved ones navigate this often very difficult process.

My passion is to bring peace of mind to the residents and their families when making the move into care and ensuring they are happy and fulfilled during the next chapter of their lives.

I ask myself, how would I want my loved one cared for?

Barchester standards of care and companionship breathe life into everyday living with the wellbeing and individual needs of our residents being at the forefront of all of our minds.

I am privileged to be part of the team in this brand new home and I look forward to welcoming you for a chat, cup of tea and cake and a look around.

Leigh-Ann Miller

Hello, my name is Leigh-Ann Miller and I am the Administrator for Pinetree Care Home, welcome to our home! 

I’ve spent years as a Customer Service Executive in London before moving into the Insurance Industry. Then, I took a side step ten years ago and began working in the care industry.  I have always been a ‘people person’ and I have to say I have never worked in a more rewarding industry, adding value to people’s lives, making moments matter and seconds count.  I don’t feel that I’m stepping into a work place, I’m stepping into the home of my residents.  And that is exactly how I want my residents to feel, that they are at home.

I’m so excited to be part of a team that is passionate about providing high quality care, and would welcome the opportunity to meet you, so please do pop in for a chat and a cuppa any time!

Steve Becks

Head of Maintenance

Hi my name is Steve I’m the Head of Maintenance here at Pinetree.

I have been working in the maintenance industry for most of my working life, a family run locally based business specialising in property maintenance. In 2020 I decided to have a change in industry whilst still continuing to do what I enjoy.  An opportunity arose for me to join an established care home environment and I jumped at the chance of learning new skills.

Working in such a rewarding environment has meant a lot to me and getting to know residents and their families is a highlight of my job role.

Understanding the running of the building along with person centred needs and being available to the residents and their requests means I can fully help the process of the move into care.

I am very approachable and will always listen to the needs of residents and their families to ensure that Pinetree is a home environment.

I am very excited about this next chapter and being part of the team to open Pinetree. Please do feel free to chat with me about all your maintenance queries, I’m always on hand to help
