Activities at Pinetree Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Pinetree Care Home

International Carers Week
As we hit midweek and half way through International Carers Week, we would like to say a huge thank you to our very special and dedicated carers.
These are just a few and we know we owe so much to so many.
Barchester have gifted our caring staff with a huge box of cadburys chocolates to say thanks.
Our residents, colleagues and family members wrote special cards of thanks and we said a really heartfelt thank you.

Resident Ambassador
Meet our Resident Ambassador!
We are delighted to introduce you to our Resident Ambassador, George, here at Pinetree.
George is a valued member of our community, and we are thrilled to have him represent our residents.
As Resident Ambassador, George serves as a voice for fellow residents, communicating their wishes, suggestions, and feedback to our staff members.
George makes such a positive impact in our care home.
We are thrilled to award him his official ambassador badge. Welcome to the team George.

Dog walking
Making the most of opportunities when they arise; this morning we joined staff member Loretta on her dog walk with Annie. Out early to avoid the heat we had a walk to the park.
Completing every day tasks can be a great therapy for many, with the added bonus of our favourite four legged friend, we had a lovely time.

Lighting of the beacon for VE Day
Staff and residents were given the opportunity to attend the 80 year VE Day service of remembrance parade in Rayleigh.
We were very privileged and honoured to have been invited to this poinyant event.
We were treated to entertainment in the form of music from Libby, a beautiful songstress and a traditional parade of army cadets and the local ATC.
Prayers were said, hymns were sung, the last post played its tune across Rayleigh and we watched the lighting of the beacon which was performed in unison across the country at 9.30pm this evening.
Our residents were touched to have been part of such a special occasion and enjoyed meeting local people and dignitaries.

VE Day
We celebrated VE Day at Pinetree today in style.
We began with an official service lead by reverends Jackie and Steve and the kings address read by Chair of Rochford District Council Sarah-Jayne Page.
The Last Post was played followed by a 2 minute silence.
The official cake was made by our lovely Andrea and cut by Barbara in her capacity of first Pinetree resident.
We boogied the afternoon away at a street party after the most beautiful buffet.
Chatting about old memories shared both happy and emotional with friends and families was priceless.
We were thrilled to be able celebrate Victory in Europe and the freedom we enjoy today with all of our lovely residents snd their families.
Thank you to everyone who supported and joined us today.
