Activities at Pinetree Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Rayleigh Museum 9th Birthday

We were so privileged and honoured to have been officially invited to this wonderful event.
9 years of the very valuable Rayleigh town museum.
A lovely birthday celebration for special people who work incredibly hard to keep the history of Rayleigh alive and we are proud to be sponsors and look forward to many more years ahead with our residents being involved.

Trip out

Its such a shame when the weather dictates that the trip we planned to the seafront had to be called off. However, we got together, chatted with the residents and made a new plan!
As the garden continues to be at the forefront of the residents minds and with head gardener George ever ready, our residents were chomping at the bit to go to the garden centre and make a start getting some of the bits they need to create their own little havens.
The mini bus was a hive of active ideas and plans and the excitement was palpable.  Fruits, flowers, bedding plants, planters and climbers were the order of the day.
After the residents and team had picked what was needed to begin the projects, the residents stopped for a cuppa and one of our residents, Eileen said, 'oh ive loved today so much, it has reminded me of my own garden'
John really enjoyed chatting to a smaller group of people about his days in the army and George, took great joy in discussing gardening club with everyone and how important it is to be a team.
Please do stay tuned as you watch the garden grow and ever change with the seasons.

Pinetree Garden

The garden is looking beautiful and our residents are getting use of the brilliant facilities we have at Pinetree.
To be able to offer a lifestyle where residents can continue to enjoy the things they love, to keep active, independent and proud of achievement is very important to us.
There are many exciting things to look forward to in our garden so stay tuned to the fun all of our residents will share in our beautiful outside space.

Egg Cellent Easter

Children from the local community came to Pinetree to enjoy an Easter egg hunt, create Easter cards and bonnets with the residents and to enjoy the garden in the lovely weather. We would like to say a huge thank you to Corrina from kinder Essex Kinder Essex Rochford and Sammy-Jo from the Essex child and well being service and their teams for coming to Pinetree and working with us to bring our residents together with local children. We really look forward to working with you more in the future. Just to make the day even more special we were delighted to be joined my the High Sheriff of Essex, Julie Fosh High Sheriff of Essex who spent time chatting with our residents and the children and spent a long time listening to their individual stories. She gave a lovely speech in which she explained her role and in particular the history behind it and the pricking ceremony, which was re in acted by 2 local children. The High Sheriff thanked both of the community groups for joining with us and highlighted the importance of bringing everyone together. Thank you once again to everyone. Pinetree is such a community hub and we are so excited for future plans we have to work together with local groups and charities and to be able to give back where we can.

Birthday Girls Party

A birthday shared is a better birthday. Yesterday one of our completely brilliant residents and a member of the Pinetree team shared their birthday and it was a day to remember. There was decorations, singing, dancing, card giving, present swapping, candle blowing and A LOT of laughing. The atmosphere was electric and everyone had a ball. Well done to all at Pinetree for making the day special and to the incredibly talented Andrea for the most beautiful cake! Residents commented ‘how lovely to be able to be part of these celebrations’‘If I was at home I would have missed this’
