Activities at Pinetree Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Pinetree Care Home

What a brilliant day
Staff appreciation is so very important. Today we celebrate some Pinetree staff.
To Margery - we wish you a very happy birthday. Enjoy your celebrations (and that INCREDIBLE cheesecake)
We also decided to celebrate the management team today and thank them for all their hard work and what better way to do that than with flowers. There were tears as this was completely unexpected.
To work with a team so dedicated, humble and all in it together is something quite special.

Employees of the month
Steve - Head Of Maintenance Cliff - Head ChefShane - Kitchen Assistant and Lisa - Head of Housekeeping
We understand how important it is to recognise staff and their hard work but its so hard when alllllll of the team have worked and gone above and beyond so we couldnt just have 1.
Team Pinetree you are already amazing and we know you will continue to be. Your hard work is never unnoticed and we thank you all.

WOW
This week gets better and better.
Would you like a sneak peak at the upper two floors of Pinetree now they have had the magic touch from Barchester's brilliant Head of Interior Design Holly Rance?
Those of you that have already visited will have been wowed with our marketing suite but you haven't seen anything yet!
Those of you that haven't visited at all, well you are in for a treat.
Holly and her team, have been in for the past 3 days adding their flare and passion to our home and WOW has she done just that.
Holly encapsulates the ethos that we at Pinetree hold so dear and that is to give our residents the very best, be that in the form of beautifully, well thought out design to the best food and of course exceptional care.
Holly says
I combine experience in luxury interior design, including time spent within the super yacht interior industry and designing high-end residential interiors, with a deep passion for the care sector. “Care is in my core,” I am able to draw on my own experiences, as I have a disability myself.
“When I went to hospital as a child, it was so clinical, and I found solace in small things like a rainbow drawn on the wall. I never make the homes feel clinical. If you are feeling unwell, you want your surroundings to be like a big hug.”
Holly we are so thrilled so thank you. Flowers aren't enough but we hope you like them.

Week One - Complete
Pinetree staff have been hard at their intensive training this week, becoming competent in courses that include: Emergency First Aid at Work, Manual Handling and Sleuce Training.
Its been so amazing to have the whole team in together, training together, getting excited together and working together.
What a great team - Well done to you all.

Pinetree's First Summer Fete
What a time we had. We are still buzzing from the amazing summer fete we held here at Pinetree.
We are so lucky to have been supported by so many local businesses donating raffle prizes and a PA system, local stall holders and the community coming to have fun with us.
We were joined by the amazing Southend Twirlers who gave us a show of all their special talents and the Chair of Rochford District Council to officially open our first ever summer fete.
Thanks once again to one and all. This is exactly how we envision life for our future residents enjoying special times with fun and laughter.
