We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

We had an amazing celebration at the Orchard House, where our residents had a truly memorable time. The highlight of the day was our special guest entertainer, Maurice the tap dancer. He dazzled everyone with his incredible talent and brought smiles to all the fathers' faces.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as Maurice showcased his fantastic moves, tapping to the rhythm of our residents' applause.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Maurice for gracing our Father's Day celebration with his exceptional skills. His energy and enthusiasm created an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
To all the fathers out there, we want to send our warmest wishes on this special day. Your love, guidance, and presence in our lives make a significant impact, and we honour and appreciate you today and every day.
BINGO Night
Tuesday night was an absolutely fantastic bingo night with our beloved residents. The energy, laughter, and friendly competition made it a truly memorable evening for everyone involved.
But guess what? The fun doesn't stop there! Today morning, we kicked off our day with a wonderful celebration of International Yoga Day. Our residents were absolutely thrilled to participate in some armchair yoga, did they enjoy it! The tranquil atmosphere, gentle stretches, and calming breaths allowed us to find balance and harmony together.
Trip out: Freshwater Bay
Recently, the residents of Barchester Orchard House care home enjoyed a wonderful day out at Freshwater Bay. They found the bay to be stunning and peaceful, and indulged themselves with some delightful ice cream and cappuccino. It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved!
Happy National Cream Tea Day!
We had an amazing celebration, with our lovely residents indulging in delicious homemade scones made by our talented chef, Clair! The aroma of freshly baked scones filled the air, and everyone couldn't resist the warm, buttery treats.
Cream tea is a quintessentially British tradition, and it's always a joy to share this delightful experience with our residents. The combination of fluffy scones, clotted cream, and strawberry jam brought smiles to their faces and created a wonderful atmosphere of togetherness.
We believe in fostering a sense of community and happiness within our facility, and celebrating National Cream Tea Day is just one of the many ways we do so. The joy on our residents' faces and the laughter shared around the table is a testament to the strong bonds formed here.
