Activities at Ochil Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Royal Wedding Fever

Royal Wedding Fever

Bunting adorned the lounges, flags were waved, the ladies wore hats and everyone eagerly awaited for the first glimpse of the bride and her dress/ The gentlemen loved the processions and pageantry and we all toasted the happy couple with Prosecco and soft drinks and nibbled on cupcakes that were beautifully decorated by our Head Chef.

Bank Holiday Bus Trip

Here at Ochil, residents can enjoy a bus trip to various locations once a month. On our most recent trip, they chose to visit Perthshire Visitor Centre at Bankfoot.

It was a lovely, sunny day and the residents enjoyed afternoon tea and cake. We did a bit of window shopping and also said hello to the highland cattle.

Therapy Ponies

Therapy Ponies

The specially trained ponies offer therapeutic benefits to people, including those with coordination and mobility challenges, learning difficulties, depression, anxiety and dementia.

There have been 2 visits from these delightful ponies recently at Ochil. Residents thoroughly enjoy seeing the ponies and talk about them for days.

Residents were delighted with how gentle and well-behaved the ponies were and how much they loved a cuddle.
