Activities at Newton House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

100 hours outside with Kesteven Rideability

A glorious day for a visit to see our wonderful friends and horses at Hough on the Hill

The sun was shining and the laughter was flowing whilst enjoying some delicious home baked cakes and refreshments.

Residents loved seeing the beautiful Rio and giving him lots of cuddles, and also had a surprise visit from Rudy the Labrador

Karen, Liz and the amazing Kesteven Rideability volunteers always make us feel exceptionally welcome and share with our residents a wealth of knowledge about the beautiful horses, and answer any questions that they have.

We are so grateful to them all and we are already looking forward to our next visit

Housekeeping Appreciation Week

At Newton House we celebrated International Housekeeping week, which is celebrated from September 12-18th, held every year.

International Housekeepers and Environmental Services Week are a week dedicated to recognizing the efforts of hard-working custodial staff members.

During a global pandemic, we have seen these unsung heroes on the front lines to keep facilities clean and safe for those who work, visit, and live there.

We encourage you to celebrate with us by recognizing what a brilliant Housekeeping Team we have here at Newton House and a big thank you to all for keeping our home safe spotlessly clean and a super efficient laundry service.

Thank you from all at Newton House

You all do an incredible job
