Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jackie Chillingworth
Hello. I am Jackie, the Lead Activity Co-Ordinator at Moreton Hill. I have worked for Barchester for over 10 years. Now, together with my team and the staff at our beautiful home, our aim is to help all residents live life to the best they can by bringing meaningful and enriching activities into their lives.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moreton Hill Care Home
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Residents and staff had lots of fun preparing for our Macmillan Coffee Morning by folding up the raffle tickets ready for the prize draw. We also baked some delicious cakes and managed to raise a total of £138 on day.
Chedworth Roman Villa
We had a great day exploring Chedworth Roman Villa in The Cotswolds. After a very wet and blustery night, the day turned out to be sunny and warm. Russell, our history buff, gave the best tour, and we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the grounds and afternoon tea in the cafe. We definitely intend on returning soon.
Dyrham Park
We visited National Trust's Dyrham Park recently. We had a great afternoon, which was rounded off with a nice meal in a local restaurant.
Park Visit
We had a fun day out in Clevedon and Portishead. We found the local ducks, who enjoyed being fed!
30 Years of Service
Tina Marsh and Lauren Martin received their Long Service Awards recently, for a combined 30 years of service. Tina has been with us for 20 years and Lauren for 10. Well done to both!
Flower Power
These great dwarf sunflowers really make for something beautiful to behold. It certainly makes sitting in the garden even more of a pleasure than it usually is.
