Activities at Juniper House Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Juniper House Care Home
Easter Egg Hunt
Staff and residents enjoyed the beautiful Easter Sunshine and took part in the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the grounds the Juniper House Garden.
Valentine's Day
We had a lovely time celebrating Valentine's Day. The residents got involved in a variety of themed activities and enjoyed baking and decorating cookies for the occasion.
Chinese New Year
Happy Chinese New Year! In recognition of the Year of the Tiger, here at Juniper House we spent time exploring the Chinese traditions and superstitions, and we created our own themed artwork on Memory Lane.
RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
Juniper House took part in the RSPB Love Nature Big Garden Birdwatch this year and enjoyed observing the nature from the garden area of the home. Everyone was happy to help and support the national survey by logging different species in their bird books.
Arts and Crafts
It’s nearly halfway through January, Christmas has been packed away for another year & we have been planning lots of lovely events for the year. We've been getting ready Burns Night & Chinese New Year, which are first on the calendar, by creating decorations at our Arts and Crafts sessions. We are looking forward to busy 2022 & the celebrations for our forthcoming 10th birthday in February!
Whole Home Approach
We love working together as a whole home here at Juniper House to support life enriching activities. Today staff & residents created beautiful sensory floral displays for our communities, using fresh cut rosemary from our garden & festive colours to celebrate New Year’s Eve. We wish everyone a happy & healthy New Year!
