Activities at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
Activities here at Iddenshall Hall are an integral part of every day life for each of our residents. We strive to include as many of our residents as possible with the activities schedule. Our Schedule is released monthly and includes activities such as poetry afternoons, indoor games, Bingo, flower arranging, pamper days, quizzes, exercises, various musicians and entertainers, Pat Dog Visits, Music Therapy, discussion groups and trips out in our minibus to local places of interest and further afield to see the Blackpool Lights or to Knowsley Safari Park.
We are constantly asking the people who live in our home which events they would like to see taking place and we endeavor to fulfill these requests. Our aim is to provide a varied and packed schedule which allows for a vast array of skill bases and capabilities. We are in constant contact with local groups and businesses, the local Beaver Scout group are always happy to pay a visit to our home, helping with the garden or coming at Christmas to sing carols for us. We also have a small group of volunteers to help us, including pupils from our local 6th form College who visit once a week.
All the above helps ensure the lives of our Residents are fun and fulfilled.

Life at Iddenshall Hall Care Home
National Cream Tea Day
The residents took part in decorating, pre-baking, and getting everything ready to celebrate this wonderful day. Families joined the celebration and everyone tasted delicious scones, cakes, cookies and fresh fruit. We all loved listening to music followed by a fun quiz and it was great to share with family and friends.
British Flower Week
This week it is British Flowers Week. This is new Covent Market's annual national celebration of the magnificent British floral industry.
The rose has been voted the most British flower and we are very fortunate to have roses in abundance growing in our extensive gardens.
To celebrate this event the residents at Beeston View made their own tissue roses and arranged some beauties collected from the garden into stunning floral arrangements.
Pub Club
Today we held our monthly 'Pub Club' at Beeston View. Residents spent a very enjoyable afternoon beer-tasting, eating savoury snacks and holding a friendly dominoes competition. Much fun was had by all!
Royal Ascot
The residents enjoyed watching the horse races and the winners' ceremony. The ladies wore the hats made before and also tasted two different flavors of Mocktails made for the occasion.
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon commenting on the races and also on the hats that caught their attention. And the staff joined in wearing the hats that the residents liked to see them on.
National Picnic Day
It was a spectacular picnic day where everyone enjoyed eating outdoors listening to the birds, the freshness and the good atmosphere. At the end, everyone wanted to leave their text about how wonderful this moment was.
Celebrating British Flower week
The residents really enjoyed this week with the flowers and plants and especially making flower arrangements to beautify our garden area and also to stimulate our creativity with the colours we chose. Some of the plants we used were Fuchsia, Celosia, geranium, etc.
