Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Gardening Club

Isn't it amazing how much things grow in just a few weeks . Back in June some of the pupils from Claverham School kindly came along and planted up the raised beds at Hazel Lodge with a selection of herbs and vegetables which they had grown from seed at the school. Since their visit, residents and staff have been out with the watering can every evening and just look at the results....amazing ! We  can't wait for fresh salad from the garden but for now the residents are enjoying the fresh mint in their Pimms .

Tour De Barchester Visit

Our residents welcomed the cyclists that are completing the Tour De Barchester.
Over four days, from June 6th- 9th, a team of Barchester staff cycled a mammoth 276 miles from Exeter to Purley, stopping at 15 care homes across Barchester’s South division to meet well-wishers, have a well-earned break and refuel before continuing on their way.
Their aim was to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation which supports older people and other adults living with a disability or mental health problems by helping them to connect or re-connect with others in their local communities.

Well done to you all from Hazel Lodge
