Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Morgan Dowie
Hi, my name is Morgan and I joined the Chacombe Park life enrichment team in January 2025. I love getting to know our residents, and I'm extremely passionate about their continued wellbeing and enjoy providing tailored activities that stimulate happiness, and continued fulfilment.
Prior to joining Chacombe Park, I worked as a Senior Carer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Outside of work, I’m a wife and mother to our beautiful little girl. Originally from Birmingham our little family has now settled in Banbury. Living life to the full is my motto, and I wish to instil this in all our residents, whatever your ability there is something new to learn or try. Life is for enriching and enjoyment.
I look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones. We are always open to new ideas, if you'd like to contact me please call the home on 01295 712001 or email me direct on: Chacombe.Activities@barchester.com - New entertainers always welcome.

Life at Chacombe Park Care Home

'Pony Power' comes to Chacombe
We had some lovely visitors today at Chacombe Park, therapy ponies and their wonderful handlers from Lollipop Pony Parties came and visited the residents to say hello!
The residents were over the moon spending time with such friendly animals. Nothing is nicer than a bit of Animal therapy, we look forward to seeing them again.

Loving Pancake Day
Shrove Tuesday at our home was truly a wonderful experience with Chef Stephan creating some tasty pancakes for the residents to indulge in!
We had plenty of fillings to choose from with chocolate and butterscotch being particular favourites.

Celebrating St David's Day
In celebration of St David's day the residents enjoyed a wonderful day with a variety of activities. First the lovely Sarah played a range of tunes on her saxophone, one resident David, had a wonderful time putting in requests for Sarah to play!
Then we had flower arranging with daffodils and finished off with a cup of tea and some lovely warm Welsh cakes which the residents loved.

Winchester House Dementia Choir
It was another wonderful morning for our residents taking part in the Dementia Choir, they had a good sing along with the children from the Winchester House School, Brackley, Northamptonshire, the first one since half term. The morning was finished off with tasty refreshments and a good old chinwag amongst themselves!

Employee of the Month 'Ebinezar'
Please join us in congratulating Housekeeper; Ebinezar Solomon on receiving Employee of the month for January 2025.

We're all very proud of his achievement and hope he enjoys spending his special 'thank you' £25 voucher. Shaju Paul, General Manager said: “Ebinezar is a valued member of the team here at Chacombe Park, I’m delighted his hard work has been recognised, he consistently goes above and beyond for which we are all grateful."

Centenarian Patricia celebrates 103rd birthday
Please join us in wishing Centenarian and resident at Chacombe Park the beautiful; Patricia a very happy 103rd birthday!
Patricia celebrated her remarkable 103rd birthday on Wednesday, surrounded by her loving family who travelled from across the United Kingdom to mark this special occasion.
Patricia, who has lived a rich and fulfilling life, was married in 1946 and spent many years in Syrasham before settling in Culworth to raise her family. Her marriage of 49 years brought her great joy before the passing of her beloved husband.
Making this milestone birthday particularly memorable, Patricia's children made special journeys to be with their mother - her son and daughter-in-law traveling from Scotland, while her daughter and son-in-law came up from London. The celebration was made even more special as Patricia's grandchildren connected virtually to share their love and best wishes with their remarkable great-grandmother.
"Patricia doesn't look her age, we would all like to know her secret," said General Manager; Shaju Paul. "She looks fabulous at all times and shows no signs of aging. It's been wonderful to be part of today's birthday celebrations and to meet Patricia's children, their love for their mother filled the room as did the cakes!"
