Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Morgan Dowie
Hi, my name is Morgan and I joined the Chacombe Park life enrichment team in January 2025. I love getting to know our residents, and I'm extremely passionate about their continued wellbeing and enjoy providing tailored activities that stimulate happiness, and continued fulfilment.
Prior to joining Chacombe Park, I worked as a Senior Carer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Outside of work, I’m a wife and mother to our beautiful little girl. Originally from Birmingham our little family has now settled in Banbury. Living life to the full is my motto, and I wish to instil this in all our residents, whatever your ability there is something new to learn or try. Life is for enriching and enjoyment.
I look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones. We are always open to new ideas, if you'd like to contact me please call the home on 01295 712001 or email me direct on: Chacombe.Activities@barchester.com - New entertainers always welcome.

Joint Birthday Celebrations

St Patrick's Day Celebrations
As part of Nutrition & Hydration Week residents and staff indulged in delicious oat and raisin cakes, highlighting the importance of staying nourished while savoring every bite. Then, we added a festive twist to the celebrations with green peanut butter whipped cream and honeycomb toppings in honour of St. Patrick’s Day which was enjoyed whilst we watched a livestream of the Dublin parade!
It was a fantastic time filled with smiles, laughter, and great company.

Employee of the Month - February
Please join us in congratulating Care assistant Vishnu Rajanon for receiving Employee of the month award for February 2025.
Vishnu was nominated by his colleagues, residents and their family members for his dedication to the home, he is always there to support his colleagues and nothing is too much trouble for him, he goes above and beyond what is expected.
We're all very proud of his achievement and hope he enjoys his box of chocolates and spending his special 'thank you' £25 voucher.

Wishes Come True with a Strike!
Strike! An Afternoon of Bowling Fun at Banbury Bowl.
Residents at Chacombe Park enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of ten-pin bowling, filled with laughter and friendly competition. It was lovely bringing our residents and staff together for a fun and active session and such a wonderful way to stay active, socialize, and create great memories.
Afterwards we enjoyed some well deserved lunch and refreshments while residents shared stories about their favourite trips out, bowling being a favourite. Everyone left with a smile on their face and we are already planning our next bowling trip!

Lunch at the Local 'George and Dragon'
Today some of our residents were treated to a lovely pub lunch at The George and Dragon Chacombe. The staff were very accommodating as usual, one of the bar staff even peeled an orange for our resident David!
The atmosphere was warm and friendly and we all enjoyed the food and the company.

Community Playgroup at Chacombe
Our residents were thrilled to welcome children and their parents to today's playgroup! These intergenerational activities bring smiles to everyone involved. Watching the Chacombe Park Activities Hall transform into a safe playground for these wonderful youngsters is a delight we look forward to each month.
The Chacombe Playgroup is completely free and open to all parents, guardians, and carers with babies and small children from across the local community. Join us for our next session on Wednesday, 2nd April from 10am. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout.
