Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Morgan Dowie

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Morgan and I joined the Chacombe Park life enrichment team in January 2025. I love getting to know our residents, and I'm extremely passionate about their continued wellbeing and enjoy providing tailored activities that stimulate happiness, and continued fulfilment.

Prior to joining Chacombe Park, I worked as a Senior Carer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Outside of work, I’m a wife and mother to our beautiful little girl. Originally from Birmingham our little family has now settled in Banbury. Living life to the full is my motto, and I wish to instil this in all our residents, whatever your ability there is something new to learn or try. Life is for enriching and enjoyment.

I look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones. We are always open to new ideas, if you'd like to contact me please call the home on 01295 712001 or email me direct on: Chacombe.Activities@barchester.com - New entertainers always welcome.

Exploring Avon Dassett

Today residents spent the afternoon at Avon Dassett.

We explored the hills with scenic walks, sat with a picnic and cold drinks whilst soaking up the sunshine, everyone took time to relax, connect, and appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

These kind of outings are more than just a change of scenery, they're a boost for wellbeing, a way to stay active and bringing people together.

Sunshine and Wisteria

Our residents made the most of the sunshine today, enjoying a relaxing afternoon sitting under the blooming Wisteria in the garden. There's nothing like good weather and great company!

Everyone loves getting sitting in the garden as much as possible to soak up that vitamin D. Also, nature and greenery reduces stress and being in a beautiful garden feels familiar and comforting.
