Activities at Chacombe Park Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Morgan Dowie
Hi, my name is Morgan and I joined the Chacombe Park life enrichment team in January 2025. I love getting to know our residents, and I'm extremely passionate about their continued wellbeing and enjoy providing tailored activities that stimulate happiness, and continued fulfilment.
Prior to joining Chacombe Park, I worked as a Senior Carer, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Outside of work, I’m a wife and mother to our beautiful little girl. Originally from Birmingham our little family has now settled in Banbury. Living life to the full is my motto, and I wish to instil this in all our residents, whatever your ability there is something new to learn or try. Life is for enriching and enjoyment.
I look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones. We are always open to new ideas, if you'd like to contact me please call the home on 01295 712001 or email me direct on: Chacombe.Activities@barchester.com - New entertainers always welcome.

Life at Chacombe Park Care Home

John's Parkinson's Journey
Today, one of our amazing residents John lead a special talk to raise awareness about Parkinson’s Disease having lived with the condition himself for 16 years.
Sharing personal insights, facts, feelings and ways we can help support those living with Parkinson’s John's conversation was all about positivity and understanding.
We had a delivery of booklets from Parkinson's UK which we handed to all visitors, residents and staff to keep the conversation going- as awareness is the first step toward change!

Loving a Trip to the Local
Today we enjoyed a heartwarming pub lunch with our wonderful residents from Chacombe Park. Good food, great company, and plenty of smiles all around!
Outings like these mean so much, sharing stories, laughter and a little adventure outside the home. A big thank you to The George and Dragon Chacombe for the warm hospitality, we're already looking forward to the next one!

Birthday Sweet Treats
Birthday celebrations for two of our lovely residents this week.
Their family members came to celebrate and sing 'Happy Birthday' to them both as they were each presented with a fantastic homemade cake created by our talented chefs.

Our Outdoor Bar is Open!
Today we created a pop up bar at Chacombe Park with our drinks trolley full of our residents favourite tipples they had a fine time sitting out in the garden being served a nice selection of drinks including wine, Guinness, Baileys and cider!
With the homes portable speaker playing upbeat music from the likes of Bob Marley, Lady Gaga and Elvis Presley our residents and guests had a lovely time chatting amongst themselves whilst enjoying the wonderful sunshine.

Easter Holiday Egg Hunt
Easter arrived early at Chacombe Park Care Home today.
In a heartwarming celebration of easter and community spirit the children of Chacombe CEVA Primary Academy were warmly welcomed by the residents before heading out into the care home's beautiful gardens where colourful easter eggs were hidden among the flowers and grass.
The afternoon was filled with excitement as the young pupils teamed up with residents to search for the hidden eggs.
Our resident Wendy said "It’s wonderful having the children here, they're fabulous" As the children left with their baskets full, they left behind happy faces and warm hearts. The residents can't wait to welcome them back!

Fun in the Sun!
The sun has finally arrived this week!
We took long walks, sat and talked as we soaked up the rays as we watched several residents had a wonderful time on their mobility scooters cruising around the beautiful Chacombe Park gardens and grounds with the carers trying to keep up!
