Activities at Caldy Manor Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work together to provide daily activities suited to the tastes of residents. We encourage those we support to continue with any hobbies whilst they stay at home. We also hold group activities, such as exercise to music, sing-alongs, craft sessions and visits to local places of interest. There are also evening events, including cheese & wine evenings and race nights. We keep families up-to-date through our newsletter and notices that can be found across the home. Family and friends are always welcome to join in!
Stephanie Boyd
Hi my name is Steph and I am Lead Activities here at Caldy Manor. As an Activities Coordinator I focus on encouraging our residents to take part in outdoor trips on the mini bus, delivering varied exercise classes and assisting residents with their chosen activities as part of our homes life enrichment plan. It is important that we continue to ensure our residents are connected to their local community.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Caldy Manor Care Home
The Gee Jays
The 'Gee Jays' recently visited Caldy Manor. Ice cream and entertainment in the garden made for a lovely afternoon.
Grand National Sweepstake
Resident, Fay, was excited to be declared the winner of the Grand National sweepstake. Congratulations!
Sweet Making
Residents spent the afternoon making sweets to enjoy over the Easter bank holiday. The peppermint creams and chocolate marshmallows were a great success.
Birthday Celebrations
Audrey celebrated her 92nd birthday in style with all her favourite party foods and games. She asked for red jelly and cream and a game of pass the parcel.
Easter Celebrations
There was plenty of chocolate to enjoy over Easter at Caldy Manor. Residents received an egg from staff and, in return, made some Easter baskets for members of the team who had to work over the bank holiday weekend.
Avalon School Visit
Residents enjoyed a visit from the nursery class of Avalon School. The children met residents and took part in an Easter egg hunt in the garden. The children wore their Easter bonnets and sang songs for the residents.
We are looking forward to visiting the school next month for afternoon tea.
