Activities at Brook House Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Brook House Care Home
Morning Outing
We had an outing to our nearby ASDA for a spot of retail therapy and a visit to the local cafe. Residents love to be out and about continuing with there everyday essentials, just like home.
What have we been up to?
Staff and residents at Brook House have been keeping themselves very busy.
We recently had an open day, which was very successful. Our kitchen team delivered a mouth-watering spread for us and our live entertainment got us tapping our toes all throughout the afternoon. We have also been hosting regular art sessions, which residents have been getting lots of enjoyment out of. Pupils from the local Lycee School entertained residents recently, there was an outing to Kenbrook House and we have been encouraging residents to partake in various activities, including baking.
Employee of the Month - May
Noor Haddad has been chosen as our May Employee of the Month for all the hard work and dedication shown whilst working in the activities department.
He commenced his employment as a volunteer during his gap year before embarking on a medical career as a medical student. During his period with us, he took activities very seriously, encouraging residents to take part as often as they could.
His ultimate legacy will be the home's magazine, The Babbling Brook, which he made by himself. His literary talent shone, and with it, so did we.
We are grateful and appreciate everything he's done whilst working here.
Royal Wedding Celebrations
We enjoyed a garden tea party to celebrate prince Harry's wedding. We had amazing decorations all around, lovely cupcakes and a big royal wedding cake. With the beautiful weather, everyone was out in the garden having a blast.
