Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

Residents enjoy family reunions

For some residents at Stamford Bridge the long awaited reunion with family and friends became a reality recently, as garden visits have now been allowed to commence at the home.

There has been much careful planning and preparation for this moment behind the scenes at Barchester Healthcare, who run Stamford Bridge care home. Social distancing was still in place, and homes that are able to take part must have a large accessible garden.

It was welcome news to so many residents, family, and friends, who were kept apart for so long following strict government guidance. Residents and their loved ones got together in the home garden and the garden was fully of joy and chatter.

Green Fingers

Residents have been getting green fingered at Stamford Beaumont, preparing the gardens ready for the summer.

Messages of Kindness

Residents have been overwhelmed by the amount of letters, cards and pictures we have received from the local company and beyond. Residents have enjoyed using their artistic skills to create responses.

Ice Cream Treats

Our residents enjoyed ice lollies during the recent lovely weather. We look forward to when we can enjoy ice creams in the garden!

Community Support

This week some wonderful banners were put up in the village of Stamford Bridge, where in better times our residents would enjoy a visit to the coffee shop and local pub. These signs have helped boost the spirits of all our staff, who continue to work hard to care for our elderly patients through this uncertain time, and with such an amazing community we look forward to a time we can visit again.

Easter Crafts

Our residents have enjoyed lots of Easter crafts in the lead up to the Easter weekend. On Sunday, the Easter bunny dropped off lots a chocolate eggs, which went down a treat with the residents.
