Activities at Oak Grange Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Easter Celebrations at Oak Grange

Easter Celebrations at Oak Grange

This Easter, we hatched our very own chicks; six little eggs in an incubator, of all different varieties of chickens. We had two successful hatchlings: a 'Mille Fleur' and a 'Mottled Black'. We named them Lillibet and Margot after the Queen and Princess Margaret, as they hatched just before the Queen's birthday.

Celebrating the Queen's Birthday at Oak Grange

Celebrating the Queen's Birthday at Oak Grange

We had a very posh afternoon tea for Her Majesty's 90th birthday, complete with a life-size cut-out of the Queen herself.

We sang Happy Birthday to Her Majesty and had a birthday cake for her, then we sang God Save the Queen whilst waving our flags - all very patriotic!

We spent a few weeks at our Crafts Club, making gift bags and cards with snippets of interesting facts about the Queen, to make our day extra special. We also painted cards to send to Buckingham Palace - we're waiting to hear back!

As you can see, we marked the day in style.
