Activities at Meadow Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Meadow Park Care Home

,

Roald Dahl

Staff at Meadow Park have gone all out for this year’s Roald Dahl Day by dressing up as their favourite book characters. Our residents had a great time guessing what book our staff had chosen their characters from and sharing which characters they liked the most.

Beautiful bouquets

Our homes had a fantastic time joining members of the Wallace Collection for an amazing sensory session.

During the live virtual experience, our residents explored one of the museum’s most beautiful Dutch flower paintings and learnt new drawing techniques.

We cannot wait to put our creative skills to a test and produce beautiful paintings of our own.

Everyone enjoyed the lovely talk, we all had lots of fun and it’s given us plenty of ideas.

Sweet treats

Residents at Meadow Park have enjoyed endulging in our sweet trolly today! Our residents picked out their favourite treats and filled their bags up with their very own pick 'n' mix. It's been a great to see those smiling faces

Pamper Saturdays

What better way to spend a rainy Saturday than a trip to our in house hairdresser.  The lovely Gillian has pampered our residents today, whether it just be a quick trim, wash & set or a perm.

Engaging in self care is clinically proven to reduce stress and anxiety, improve concentration and minimize frustration. Most importantly it increases happiness, and we love a happy home here at meadow park.

Bake for Dementia

We would like to thank everyone who has visited our home today for our charity bake sale in aid of World Charity Day.

Thanks to everyone's generous contributions our home has managed to raise an amazing £58.08 for the Alzheimer's Society and our residents had great time chatting with everyone who came to buy our bakes.

Birthday celebrations

Birthday celebrations, we love birthday celebrations here at Meadow Park and recently celebrated Molly’s. There was a surprise performance in store and everyone had a fabulous time.

Molly was delighted to be surrounded with cake, cards and presents from family, friends and colleagues throughout the day with fun and laughter to ensure that the birthday girl had a wonderful day.
