Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Battle Abbey School Christmas Visit

What a packed out lounge we had this week, we were so fortunate to be joined by Battle Abbey School children, who performed a wonderful Christmas show for our residents. Thank you, we absolutely loved to see you all in your Christmas jumpers . 

Essential Mince Pie Tasting !

And the winner is..........This afternoon residents took on the most important task of Mince Pie tasting to find the very best of those morish festive treats we all love.There were many a discussion about buttery pastry and fruity fillings but out of all the shop bought pies there was a clear favourite..... not wanting to name names but let's just say they could Taste the Difference !Next week we'll be having a head to head with the shop brought v homemade by the Hazel Lodge hospitality team to find the true Champion

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas !

Residents, families and staff got involved in decorating our Home for this festive season. Listening to our favourite Christmas tunes, singing and dancing. We are officially ready for the season. Here's to a lovely start of the Christmas festivities

Happy 2nd Birthday to Us

An evening of celebration and fizz as we toasted to our 2nd birthday. It's been two years since Hazel Lodge first opened its doors in the wonderful historical town of Battle. It was lovely to celebrate with  many of our original residents and staff. We look forward to many more years of fun, laughter and life enrichment for all.

Ello ello ello, what's going on here?

Well luckily nothing to worry about . Resident ambassador Godfrey and Activities coordinator Sonia, were kindly escorted for Ashburnham Place for their volunteers meeting. Police officer Emma and her colleague attended the meeting to support with the implementation of volunteers in the community and she offered to give Sonia and Godfrey a lift there. Of course we couldn't resist a bit of a laugh but I promise you they are upstanding members of the Hazel Lodge team. We hope to soon welcome some volunteers to Hazel Lodge in the not too distant future.

Festive Fun at our Fayre

Wow ! What a fantastic, festive afternoon we've had.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Christmas Fayre and helped us raise a fabulous £102 for the Bexhill & Battle Foodbanks 🤩
Crazee Elf and The Grinch greeted visitors and made their way around the home bringing smiles and laughter to all 🙂
