Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Ashitha Dinesh

Activities Assistant

Hi, I'm Ashitha, and I'm proud to be part of the team at Glebefields Care Home as an Activities Assistant. I joined the Glebefields family in 2023, having earned my master’s degree in electrical engineering from Coventry University. Despite my engineering background, I bring a fresh perspective to enriching the lives of our residents. I enjoy creating an environment where they can have fun, connect with others, and stay mind active. Together with my co-workers, I'm dedicated to making every moment special for our residents, bringing happiness and meaning to their lives. It's an honour to be part of such a compassionate and dedicated team at Glebefields Care Home.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Spreading Community Good Cheer

Giving thanks and spreading some festive cheer within the community means so much to the staff and residents of Glebefields care home. Our hospitality team have been busy little elves packing boxes of yummy mince pies for ‘The Lunch Box Project Banbury’ in support of the community initiative to provide 500 Christmas food parcels to help struggling families across the region. General Manager, Nisha said “We hope our small donation helps to raise a smile in these testing times.”

Nisha and the Glebefields family continued to spread joy from the home by way of festive hampers full of goodies to their support colleagues at Windrush Surgery, Boots Pharmacy, Cherwell Hospital, The New Foscote Hospital, The Horton Hospital; Discharge Team and our neighbouring care provider Park Gardens.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
