Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

A Fond farewell to our Manager Earl

Residents and staff at Cheverton Lodge bid a fond farewell to Home Manager Earl Elliott as he left to begin his retirement.

“I will miss all of my staff team, they are like family to me, and many have worked here as long as I have,” said Earl. “Of course, I’ll miss the residents too, it’s been a real privilege to meet and care for so many wonderful people over the years”.

A keen gardener, cricket and fishing lover, Earl will have plenty of time to enjoy them during his retirement.

Staff at Cheverton Lodge held a farewell party, attended by residents and families.

We will all miss Earl at Cheverton. We would like to thank him for his many years of dedicated service. He has been an exceptional manager and a real inspiration to his staff team”.

Thank you, dear Earl!

A trip to Kenwood House!

Residents and loved ones from Cheverton Lodge really enjoyed our visit to Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath. Its was an amazing morning and we really enjoyed the beautiful countryside smack in the middle of London. The gardens are stunning.

It's a beautiful treasure and a wonderfully kept mansion. We definitely recommend a visit for all history and art enthusiasts.

Where will our mini bus take us next!

Royal Albert Hall Songbook

The Royal Albert Hall Songbook is an interactive concert which explores the vast musical history of one of the world’s most iconic venues.

Three musicians from Albert’s Band visited Cheverton Lodge and led residents to a nostalgic journey through the musical history of the Royal Albert Hall through songs and stories.

During the concert, residents and relatives enjoyed a series of incredible songs that have been performed at the Hall by artists including Dame Vera Lynn, Sir Tom Jones, The Beatles and Frank Sinatra. They received a commemorative song book containing the lyrics to the music played and photos from the Hall’s archives.
