Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

I joined Cheverton Lodge in 2024 as an Activity Coordinator. I completed a Health and social care level 2 and performing arts at college. I have worked as an activity coordinator in a care home setting for over 5 years. I love my role, the passion and drive it gives me to ensure everyone receives a fun and fulfilled lifestyle, which is person centred to them.
I love being creative, I sing in my spare time alongside playing the electric guitar, piano and also writing my own music. I look forward to my journey here at Cheverton lodge, and bringing lots of fun!

Face yoga and dance movement with Petronella
The dance therapy sessions with Petronella are always a fun and invigorating part of our week. At this session we also focused on face yoga to keep our faces as youthful as our mind and bodies.

Summer time in the garden
Residents at Cheverton lodge enjoyed sun filled afternoon in the garden. Lawrence joined us to keep us entertained. We enjoyed a sing along and he demonstrated some magic tricks. He taught residents some of his secrets on how to spin plates!
