Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Queen's Birthday Celebrations

Queen's Birthday Celebrations

We had a lovely afternoon tea party in the garden to celebrate the Queen's birthday. Our entertainer, Debby, hosted an amazing Abba musical show for residents, family and friends. There was lots of singing and dancing!

In the Garden

We made the most of the Great British Sunshine by spending time in the garden exercising and having a singalong. It was great fun!

Easter Celebrations

Easter Celebrations

Easter celebrations were in full swing at Cheverton Lodge! We’ve been decorating Easter eggs and made our own unique Easter tree carousel to have an Easter egg hunt.

U3A Book Club

U3A Book Club

Cheverton Lodge was home to an unusual gathering on Wednesday 18th April: one of the Islington groups of the U3A Book Club asked if it would be possible to hold their monthly meeting at the home. Their regular hostess was away and an alternative venue needed to be found. The event was a great success, with eleven members attending. The ground floor lounge was arranged with the necessary furnishings and. light refreshments.

It was a pleasure hosting them!

St Patrick's Day

We celebrated St Patrick's Day with a lovely lunch and a musical show by Jamie Cameron. Everybody enjoyed it and sang along to traditional Irish songs.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day

We know how important it is for family to spend time with each other, so for Mother's Day, we hosted an afternoon tea party for residents and invited their family and friends to join them. We had a great time sharing memories over a cup of tea with cakes and sandwiches.
