Activities at Arbour Court Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a variety of activities and events for all residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus, visits from entertainers and musicians and small group and individual activities in quiet yet stimulating environments. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect resident individual interests as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Arbour Court Care Home
Animal Intuition
Andy was kind enough to bring back all of his reptile friends for the residents. During his most recent visit, he brought a snake, a rabbit, a lizard and a centipede, much to the residents' delight.
Move It or Lose It!
Move it or Lose It is a company that comes in to host exercise classes for residents. They are trained in muscle skeletal exercises and work with individuals who usually aren't very mobile. This is Kath and volunteer, Ellie, enjoying our most recent session.
Balloon Race
We sent off personalised balloons with details of the home one, and the first person to find a balloon and inform us won a £10 voucher!
Live Entertainment
Samantha Jones, one of our live vocalists who comes to visit us often, came to sing for us on 5th January. All the residents were encouraged to singalong and have a boogie with her.
Out & About
A trip to Gregg’s in Stockport was what two residents wanted to do, so we waited for a beautiful day and ventured out. Their wish came true and they each enjoyed a cappuccino and a cake. A lovely day was had by all!
Tennis at Decathlon
We recently took a trip to Decathlon with two residents who are interested in sports. While there, we challenged the residents to a game of doubles at table tennis; they accepted and both residents teamed up with a member of the activities team. It is safe to say that it was a win-win game, as we all had a great time!
