Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Glebefields care home residents and colleagues wish to congratulate Senior Carer; Sundaraj Kalidoss on receiving Employee of the Month. Sundaraj was nominated by his colleagues and the residents of Glebefields for always being considerate and kind. One resident said; 'he's a most thoughtful young man' and another said that 'nothing is too much trouble for him to do'.

General Manager Nisha Shaji said "Sundaraj is always polite, and extremely passionate about our residents wellbeing. He's currently studying hard to become a nurse which is the perfect career progression for him. We all hope he enjoys spending the voucher and on receiving this well-deserved Barchester accolade. Keep up the good work and dedication to your Glebefields family."

Glebefields home manager; Nisha has been out and about in Banbury, Oxfordshire to find Santa's little helpers. Can you find them all? There are 9 reindeer and 7 elves hiding in windows around Castle Quay, Banbury and the immediate town centre for children to find.

Christmas Jumper Day at Glebefields and the festive vibes are in full swing! Residents and staff are rocking their cheerful jumpers, adding a touch of holiday joy to the day. What makes it even better is that we're not just having fun; we're also supporting Save the Children. Each jumper is a symbol of kindness, making this day extra special. Join us in making the world a bit brighter together!

We had an incredible time at Glebefields Care Home's Christmas Fayre!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a festive afternoon filled with joy and laughter. The craft stalls added a touch of creativity, and the excitement of the Tombola and Raffle kept the energy high. Our home made cake stall was a sweet delight, and the hot refreshments, especially the favourite mulled wine, along with mince pies, warmed our hearts.

A special shout out to our lovely resident Ivy, who nailed the "Guess How Many Sweets in a Jar" game, hitting the sweet spot with 93 chocolates! The village stalls were a hit, offering cosy knitted wear, beautifully decorated pots, paintings, cakes, sweets, crafts, and gem jewellery. The festive spirit was in full swing!

Santa stole hearts, bringing smiles to both young and old. Everyone received special gifts, making the day even more magical. A big thank you to the villagers and participants for making this event a success! Your contributions added sparkle to our festive celebration.

Elf Day celebrations at Glebefields was wonderful! Residents and staff got into the festive spirit by dressing up in elf costumes. Our activity coordinator, Kay, shared the fascinating history of Elf Day, making the celebration even more special.

As part of the fun, everyone wore elf hats, enjoyed some laughs with elf jokes, and took part in lively elf quizzes. The atmosphere was filled with joy and togetherness, kicking off the holiday season with a delightful Elf Day celebration.

We had a celebration for our beloved resident Edith's birthday, joined by both residents and staff. Edith enjoyed a lovely pink cake, making a wish and beaming with a beautiful smile as she blew out the candle. To add to the happiness, Edith received a surprise gift a lovely cardigan and her favourite sweets. The evening was filled with love and celebration, making it truly special!
