Activities at Glebefields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hi, I'm Ashitha, and I'm proud to be part of the team at Glebefields Care Home as an Activities Assistant. I joined the Glebefields family in 2023, having earned my master’s degree in electrical engineering from Coventry University. Despite my engineering background, I bring a fresh perspective to enriching the lives of our residents. I enjoy creating an environment where they can have fun, connect with others, and stay mind active. Together with my co-workers, I'm dedicated to making every moment special for our residents, bringing happiness and meaning to their lives. It's an honour to be part of such a compassionate and dedicated team at Glebefields Care Home.

New Year Musical Magic
Entertainment from the husband and wife duo "Champagne Enterprises" brought joy to our residents as they sang a lovely mixture of 50's songs from Doris Day to 60's Elvis Presley, along with requests that our residents thoroughly enjoyed. Our lovely residents Barry and Edith even took to the microphone naturally, singing along and adding their own musical touch to the lively atmosphere.

Residents and staff join together in wishing you all a joyful and prosperous New Year! May the year ahead be filled with happiness, good health, and exciting adventures. Here's to a year of new beginnings, lovely memories, and continued growth. Let's make 2024 a year to remember!

Little Trip to Cotefield Nurseries
Our lovely residents Pauline, Marlene, Ivy, Pam and Cynthia enjoyed a festive trip to Cotefield Nurseries in Bodicote. Residents treated themselves to well-deserved hot chocolate and cake, soaking in the holiday spirit. Our resident had a fantastic time on our little trip, spreading joy and celebrating the festive seasons.
A Merry Christmas Gathering
On the 25th day our home was filled with Christmas magic as residents and their families gathered for a delightful Christmas lunch! With The Christmas lunch and desserts were amazing and everyone had fun with crackers adding an extra bit of excitement and laughter.
Our lovely residents thanked Head Chef; Bose for the tasty food and shared happy memories of Christmases gone by. Marlene our beloved resident, was all smiles, saying she was really happy to have lunch with her daughter on this Christmas day.
Even the staff joined in for a delicious lunch, making the whole Christmas vibe at Glebefields truly amazing. Everyone came together to enjoy the festive season. Marjorie said, "It's nice to see everyone on Christmas day, enjoying tasty food with our friends and family. Very lovely indeed."
Sparkie Duo Santa Special
The entertainment from Sparkie and Sprite Duo made our Christmas Eve at Glebefields extra special with their amazing performance of festive songs! Their music and dance, from classic tunes to rocking beats, put everyone in a cheerful mood. The happiness they brought made our home feel even more festive!
Christmas Party Time
Our Christmas party at Glebefields was amazing! Santa and Mrs. Claus made us all laugh and shared gifts. The buffet had delicious dishes, and our Head Chef Bose made awesome special desserts for the party. Everyone enjoyed the treats and had a great time at the Christmas party, creating special memories. Wishing everyone a joyful season full of love and happiness! Let's enjoy these moments together.
