Activities at Threshfield Court Care Home

Here at Threshfield Court, we aim to tailor the activities to meet the needs of individual residents, the communities within the home and the home as a whole. We have regular, structured activities such as visits from Music for Health, specialist armchair exercise facilitators, local musicians and a growing team of volunteers, including our local clergy. We also have time for arts and crafts, all sorts of games, music, poetry and lots more. We are pretty good at being spontaneous too!

Life at Threshfield Court Care Home

Grassington Ladies Bell Ringers

Threshfield residents had a wonderful morning listening to the fabulous performance from The Grassington Ladies Hand Bell Ringers.

It was lovely to hear Christmas carols been played.

The atmosphere was a delight and the residents joined in singing along to the carols.

This is a yearly tradition which the residents really enjoy.

Thank you Ladies.

Christmas Flower Arrangements

The Residents have been hands on this December making their very own Christmas centre pieces for the tables ready for Christmas.

We had the pleasure of welcoming two of our residents relatives to come along and join us in making our arrangements.

It was such a magical morning all together.

Aqua Art

The Residents enjoyed a morning of Aqua Art,

This is a brilliant feel good activity which is developed to provide and create mess free art. Activities like this help to maintain independence.

Such a simple activity can provide hours of fun and entertainment.

Wear it Pink Day

On Monday 23rd October Residents and staff here at Threshfield Court help our own Wear it Pink Day to support the awareness for Breast Cancer.

The residents and staff all dressed up in pink.

Even our head chef came in a pink tie to wear with his chef whites! The kitchen made some fabulous oink cupcakes and biscuits and a fabulous cake shaped in the pink ribbon emblem. The home was support by relatives and the community joining us for a coffee and a piece of cake.

We raised a total of £52.50.

I wish to thank everyone who took the time to come and support this breast Cancer Awareness.

Baking Club

Baking at Threshfield Court is a brilliant activity, not only do our residents have fun getting together as a group, chatting while baking. They have the double bonus of eating the finished product at the end. Activities such as baking is a fabulous way or reminiscing and talking to the residents about what they used to bake and cook for their family at home.

Residents reminisce about rationing through the war and how they made a small amount of ingredients go a long way in their household..
