Thank you for showing an interest in our page. I would like to explain a little about where we are, what we do and the people who live and work here.

Our home is situated in the small country village of Draughton, which is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The historic market town of Skipton is only 5 miles away and well worth a visit.

From the minute you enter The Dales, you will feel the warmth radiating from the caring and homely atmosphere we provide. We want everyone who comes to stay or visit to have a memorable and wonderful experience.

Whilst visiting you can take advantage of the many scenic views and the changing landscape, which can be easily seen from the windows as you walk around the home.

Recent reviews of our home on carehome.co.uk included the following comments: ‘The Dales have nurtured and cared for mum with dignity and respect and it is a joy to visit her now, knowing she is receiving the best possible care.’ ‘All the staff are loving and caring wonderful people, we could not ask for better.’ ‘The high quality of care and attention given to my mother is without doubt quite marvellous. I admire all the girls, ladies and guys that work there, nothing is ever too much trouble and the time and attention given to her is done with dignity and respect.’

We provide a high standard of care within our home. We offer 24-hour nursing care, which includes our Memory Lane Community, a resource dedicated to people living with dementia. We provide end of life care with dedicated, devoted and experienced staff who are both highly qualified and compassionate.

Our staff form strong friendships with both the people who reside with us and their family and friends, to whom our door is always open.

Life at The Dales is never dull. There is always something new and different happening.... be it live entertainment, the staff dressing up for wacky fun-themed events, or in-house activities. To keep up to date with our latest activities and events, please keep popping back to our website to see what is coming up.

It may be that you do not need us currently, but please feel free to drop in at any time, no appointment needed. Or just come along and have a coffee and a chat to see what we are all about. We hope to see you soon.

Care Home in Skipton | The Dales

Catherine Campbell

Acting General Manager

Welcome to our website; my name is Catherine and I am the Acting General Manager here.

I am a dually qualified Nurse – both RGN and RMN. I am qualified to teach adults and I have a Masters Degree in Business.

The care of older people is my chosen area of nursing and I have been working in the independent sector since I first qualified.

I am passionate about ensuring that the quality of life is as good as we can possibly make it for those we support and that our staff are appreciated for their devotion.

I believe that it is important that we all respect each other – both the residents we care for and our colleagues. We should proceed in an honest and fair way, we should demonstrate our responsibility to deliver excellent care and customer service and it is vital that we approach each day feeling valued, trusted and motivated.

Fun and laughter is an important ingredient of each day for all those who live and work in our home.
